According to the hindu traditions , the bride and groom are asked to walk around fire seven times while being tied to each other. the ritual of walking around the fire seven times, called Saptapadi, is one of the most important aspects of the ceremony. 6. In the sixth phera , the couple seek a long and joyful life together. This time , the couple wish for each other's health and seek companionship for a long time.
7. In the seventh and the last phera ,the couple vow lifelong friendship and love. Before a husband and wife , they should see each other as best friends , who solemnly support each other throughout the times of celebration and mourning.
